Here’s the story of your million dollar success, and mine. I’ve owned several businesses. I’ve experienced lots of success and some failure in the past. That’s not what this blog is about. This blog is about now.
Right now, what are you doing to move from wherever you are to the level of income and security you want and deserve? I’ll share what is working now in my business, and yours, as we learn, grow and succeed together.
Small business owners always need a lot information and encouragement. But most people really don’t care if your business thrives or dies. So where can you get the support, encouragement and accurate information you need? Who will help you keep pushing through the hard parts of building your own business? Peers.
We need to help each other. Because people who aren’t building their own business really don’t understand. They can’t relate to the problems we face. When we succeed, they’ll say we’re lucky. And if we fail, they’ll call us fools. But until they stay up until 2 am working on a marketing plan, or make a dozen cold calls every morning, they just won’t get it.
We need to support, encourage, and inform each other. And we should have the courage and fortitude to do that.
We need to move past the antiquated, limiting idea that we have to keep everything to ourselves. We need to stop fearing other people will gain an edge or steal our ideas. Quality relationships are the key to the highest level of success. So drop those barriers and put some trust in your fellow entrepreneurs. Let’s not let each other down.
Your success doesn’t rule out mine. In fact, the more successful your peers are, the more likely you are to gain greater success as well. So let’s start sharing and celebrating each other’s successes. Let’s keep picking each other up from each failure along the way.
A million dollars isn’t what it used to be. It’s no longer a pie-in-the-sky dream to own a million dollar business. In fact, I would argue that if you can’t generate a million dollars annually in your business, you’re doing something wrong. Just about anyone who uses sound, moral business principles and is willing to put in the hard work, day after day, and learn what needs to be learned should be able to build a million dollar per year business within five years. Anybody.
I know that’s a bold statement. But I’m not just talking about success, I’m doing it. And I’d really like you to do it with me. If you’re willing to commit to building your own million dollar business over the next five years, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran entrepreneur or brand new. It doesn’t matter if you have a clear plan, or no idea. You should build your own million dollar business.
